Tired of black and brown stains at the bottom of your toilet bowl? It's true that they can make your bathroom look dirty, especially when you have guests over. And it often happens with toilets that are plagued by limescale. The problem is that these stubborn tartar stains are (very) difficult to remove without expensive chemical products!

Fortunately, today I'm revealing the natural trick I used to eliminate these black stains at the bottom of the toilet bowl effortlessly. The powerful and natural trick is to use citric acid.

Here's what you'll need:

- Citric acid

- Toilet brush

- Water

How to do it:

1. Empty the water from the toilet bowl by vigorously moving the toilet brush.

2. Boil one liter of water in a kettle.

3. Pour the hot water into the toilet bowl.

4. Add a glass of citric acid to the walls and the bottom of the toilet bowl.

5. Let the citric acid sit overnight.

6. The next morning, scrub the walls and the bottom with the brush to remove the stains effortlessly.

7. Flush the toilet to say goodbye to the black stains.

Result:

There you have it, your toilet is now sparkling clean naturally. Easy, quick, and effective, isn't it? No more black, brown, or yellow stains at the bottom of your toilet!

Now you know how to get rid of a black stain at the bottom of the toilet bowl. It's much cleaner this way when you have guests over! Plus, you didn't use any chemical products to bleach and descale the bowl. Citric acid is 100% natural, as it is derived from corn and beets. It doesn't pollute rivers and is compatible with septic tanks. So, it's a great alternative for cleaning a limescale-covered toilet with a septic tank.

Why does it work?

Citric acid is a powerful natural descaler that fights limescale effectively. It works deeply, and the longer you let it sit, the better it works! Hence, the importance of letting the citric acid sit overnight.

This trick works for all types of toilets: wall-hung or floor-mounted. It also works for all types of materials: porcelain, glazed ceramic, or stainless steel.

Bonus tips:

For heavily scaled toilets, you can also rely on soda crystals... or Coca-Cola! Surprising, but it works! The use of baking soda is reserved for regular toilet maintenance. When used alone, it's not powerful enough to clean very dirty toilets.
